Vodoo in Benin

For a long time, the spiritual leaders in Benin have been working with their groups and friends, but they had nearly no contact with people from outside. All the knowledge was well protected and kept in secret.
A few years ago, these spiritual leaders decided that the time has come to change their strategy. They sat together to find ways to spread out their knowledge and to fight roumors about vodoo (like: vodoo = killing people by sticking needles in little puppets).

These people in Benin started to collect information from all spiritual groups and leaders to make it open for the public. They just collected everything: vodoo music, pictures from rituals, articles and lectures, discriptions of loas and orishas, religion, medicine, language and more.
 

This was the beginning of the web project "Vodoo in Benin". At all, this was six years ago. Today they give lectures and organise initiations in Benin and maybe soon in other countries. They offer help, assistence and initiation.
